Overdue report on MKH participation at Pesta Pulau Pinang

More than 15 MKH riders participated in Pesta Pulau Pinang road and criterium races on Dec 20 and 21 2008. For the road race, Danny and Mike managed to clinched 2nd position in the Junior veteran (35-45) and Senior Veteran(>45) respectively. All other riders completed safely. There were many support crew that helped along the way. For the criterium Mike obtain the only MKH podium position by finishing 4th in the senior veteran category. Congratulations to the winners and riders

Successful 300KM/245km ride to Cameron

2 groups of riders, all on MTB went out to attempt riding from Penang Island to Cameron Highlands on early Saturday morning (Jan 17). 6 riders started from Seberang Perai at 5.15 am and arrived at 9pm covering 300km via Tapah to Kampung Raja with 90KM of hill. The second group of 6 riders set out at 5.15 am from Penang Island and arrived at 10pm covering 245km via Simpang Pulai with 60km of uphill section. Everyone arrived safetly and cheerfully despite feeling tired. More trip report and pictures to come in the next update...stay tune

MKH-Le Tua training ride in Kulim

MKH-Le Tua training ride in Kulim (Preparation for Tour De Langkawi)

Happening on 26 and 27 of January 2009.

26 January 2009 160km from Jabatan Perhutanan at 7.30am ,Kulim to Sumpitan/Kampung Masjid and back.

27 January 2009 ~120km ride from Jabatan Perhutanan at 7.30 am, Kulim to Tanjung Dawai and back .

Participation by registration only. Forms will be available at local bike shops from 19 January 2009. Registration at the starting line on either day is acceptable too. Registration closing date: 27 January 2009

Registration fee is RM20 only. For registering, you'll get a commemorative T-shirt and feeding during the ride. Only limited numbers of T-shirt availble. Collection of T-shirt on event days.

Sunday Jan 18 Road ride from Kulim

Route: 5 Hill ride via Sg Tengas
Starting point: Jabatan Hutan at 7.30am
Distance : approx 80km hilly ride

Big turnup for Sunday Jan 11 Kulim road ride

37 Riders turned up from various locations along the route to join the ride to Tanjung Dawai. A fast 90km non stop ride to the destination and total journey totaling 159km. Reatively smooth ride except for 2 punctures along the way.
